Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"I believe it is one of the best 1 stars to go to in the area and we've been to quite a few, including this one more than once. The food is great, sometimes surprising, sometimes excellent and always on high level and good value for money. The restaurant always take care of our food limitations and they do it gracefully and willingly. The hall is beautiful and the view is great. Service is also very warm and welcoming. Overall - try it out if you haven't - I'm sure you won't regret."
"Superb lunch at Restaurant Le Relais des Moines in Provence. The lunch tasting menu was creative and wonderfully seasoned at an exceptional price & value. Then off to our wine tasting for reds in Provence. Service was attentive and informative regarding regional foods and wines. What a fantastic afternoon tasting local wine, food, and breads. MICHELIN Restaurant."
"Went for a very special lunch with a very critical eye, was blown away. The tomato dish might have been the nicest plate of food I've ever tried. The cacao/praline dessert was the best dessert I've ever had. The only criticism I have was the confit pigeon leg. Hard bit of meat to confit admittedly, but I just don't think it was executed perfectly"
"Beautiful restaurant on 3 levels with a big fireplace. Most of the ingredients are locally sourced and the result is superb. I'd definitely recommend the eggs for starter and the lemon dessert, both absolutely amazing!"
"Excellent restaurant with a beautiful set-up. The view on the small town of Les Arcs is an enchantment and the dinner felt like a relaxing moment suspended over the agitation of the region in August. The food is really good and well presented. I feel the portions could be slightly bigger since we were left with some place for more, and seasoning could be done even better: everything was very good but nothing was a blast on this visit, that was a little deception. Service is old style and somehow feels like automated: very brief presentation of each dish, no visit of the chef and no background story for immersion about why and how the cuisine is invented. Anyway we had a really good moment and the food was excellent but I can't deny that we were expecting a little bit more excitement with our tasting. Maybe we will try again another time"
"Nice place, decent traditional cooking style. Nothing spectacular, but we’ve enjoyed great meals in a cosy environment. Update: Went again in August 2019, enjoyed it, great flavours, and we were able to sit outside which adds to the experience in the great setting, so honestly enjoyed it more than last time. Waiters could improve, they talk like robots when explaining the menu and dishes and pay too little attention to their guests."
"A very classic restaurant with attention to high quality ingredients and fine dishes. There are two menu you can choose from. I am vegetarian and I got three dishes and the dessert. The food is excellent and it leave the mouth clean and stomach light. Staff is well trained for the service and the wine list is a good one."
"Charming locale w view over the Provencal hills... Modern French rustic..."
